• Neuromuscular condition
• Facial muscle weakness

Before the treatment it is recommended that patients avoid any alcohol or anti-inflammatory medication for two weeks due to the increased risk of bruising or bleeding after your injection.

After the treatment, for a few days it is recommended to avoid:

• Heavy exercise
• Sunbathing
• Saunas
• Alcohol consumption

Each of these increases the risk of additional swelling, redness and bruising.

Over the next few days after your treatment, the muscle activity in the treated area will gradually decrease, causing the skin to appear smoother. These results should last for about 4 months.

Results will vary from person to person, but you can expect improvement with each treatment you receive. In some cases, multiple treatments may be required to see your desired results. Dr. McKenzie will work with you to design a treatment plan that will work best for you.

Directly after your treatment, patients may experience temporary effects that are typical for injections such as redness, tenderness and slight swelling.
