There is not much preparation required for PRP or PRF treatments, however, there are recommendations to follow if you’d like to have the best experience possible.

Before the treatment it is recommended that patients avoid:

• Anti-inflammatory medications for 7 days prior to procedure.
• Alcohol for 24 hours prior to treatment.
• Engaging in physical activity that could strain the treatment area.

After the treatment, it is recommended to avoid:

• Heavy exercise for 24 hours.
• Direct sunlight and heat exposure for 48 hours.
• Anti-inflammatory medications for 48 hours.

Each of these increases the risk of side effects or interfere with your body’s natural healing process, causing diminished benefits from your treatment.

For both PRP and PRF treatments, results will not appear overnight. As these treatments work by stimulating your body’s natural healing processes, results may take weeks to months to be fully noticeable.
