Your provider will provide specific details for how to prepare for your appointment. These instructions often include avoiding alcohol for 48 hours leading into your appointment and drinking plenty of water before and after your treatment to help flush out fat deposits quickly.

During your appointment, your provider will discuss the specific process for you based on your treatment plan. These treatments will often take between 40 minutes and an hour.

You may experience some discomfort, swelling, redness or bruising in the treatment area after treatment. It is common to feel puffy or swollen afterwards as your body requires time to break down and dissolve the dislodged fat cells.
